Shire of Forth Castle 

The Shire of Forth Castle is located in the Kingdom of Meridies, a realm of the Known World of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Our lands include the cities of Savannah, Hinesville, Pooler, Springfield, Rincon, Pembroke, Richmond Hill, and Brooklet in the state of Georgia. The Kingdom of Meridies encompasses the Southeast areas of the United States, including the Florida panhandle, Georgia, Tennessee, southwestern Virginia, southwestern Kentucky, and Alabama.

We generally meet on the second Saturday of each month at Lake Meyer Park in Savannah at 2PM.

Fighter practice is most Saturdays at Lake Meyer Park beginning at 11AM.

Directions:  From 1-95, exit 90, travel two miles east on GA 144 (Ford Ave).  Turn left on Cedar Street, proceed through park entrance and follow the signs to the Wetland Education Center building. 

Please note that Heroes (and Heroines) has moved to a new month and location for 2009.  No camping on site, however there are numerous accommodations and restaurants only five miles from the site at the 1-95 exits #94 and #87 

Event Fees:

      $11 (adult w/ dinner)

      $9 (adult w/o dinner)

      $6 (ages 12-17 w/ dinner)

      $5 (ages 12-17 w/o dinner)

Under 12 – free

Non-members add $3 to all fees.

Schedule

Friday 3/6:  4pm  Join Forth Castle members for a potluck dinner and a movie.  (equipment and gear may be dropped off for overnight storage)

Saturday 3/7: 8:00am  Troll opens, light breakfast served

10:00am  Armour Inspection

10:30am  Seiges commence

1:00pm Final defense by castle defenders and populace.  “Rocks” will be provided.

2:00pm  Classes and time to enjoy scenic J. F. Gregory Park

5:00pm  Abendessen (dinner)

8:00pm  Site closes
